My name is Guillaume. I grew up playing competitive junior tennis in France and was a stringer for several of the local tennis clubs. Upon moving to DC, I rediscovered my love for the game of tennis and started playing regularly again. I also rediscovered my passion for stringing and tennis equipment.
Frustrated by the lack of service at a reasonable cost, initially in DC, I created The Good Racquet at the end of 2008. I, since then, moved to South California and thought that the successful services offered should remain. With the precious help of former co-instructors and new partners The Good Racquet is able to keep its activities in DC and to expand to Phoenix and Los Angeles.
We have gone from stringing only a couple of rackets a week to several in a day. We have given instructions to more than hundred beginners and intermediate players as well as coached USTA teams. Together we made progress, had fun and have been able to build a network of players, groups, teams...this is our pride and this is because of your interest in meeting new people and partners.
All the staff is certified and/or has years of experience, but more than that they know their tennis and are good with people of all ages and levels.
A high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in your area.
